Default fox shifter options

im working on putting a 5.3 with th400 in a 87 t top. ive seen numerous shifter installs and they all look good. im trying to use what i got and make it work. i have a b&m ratchet shifter for an aod. i found the conversion bracket pn 35498 on summit to work with the th400. question is does anybody have this shifter installed in a fox and how do you like it?i really want a gated shifter but that will come later on. thanks for the input

I have a pro ratchet in a fox body. Cars just not done yet lol. I never liked gated shifters. My brother has a quarter stick in his s10 we both don't like it.

I found a install of a hurst quarterstick using the holcomb mount in the stock shifter area. The guy used a 5spd boot to cover the shaft of the shifter and then trimmed down the release lever so it wouldnt hit the radio bin. Looked really good but being right here at christmas I really dont have the extra money right now to buy the new shifter. Im sure I can fabricate a mount for it like the holcomb mount. Thanks for the input.

To me the Holcomb mount puts the shifter too far forward. Some like it, some don't.
