I'm a complete noob here but I would think so. Email the seller and get more info because he doesn't say much in the ad. 20k miles is broken in basically in my opinion. If I was ready for the swap in my Chevelle I'd give it serious consideration

Where's the proof that it has less than 20k miles? Does it come with a computer, harness, etc?

If it is indeed complete, and has low mileage, I'd say $1600 was a great price...but I would expect it to go to $2500 or more

Hmmm.. I'm a bit borded.. but let get it right... there is a differents in what a Motor and an Engine is.. So, unless your converting your car to a EV Hybrid.. you need to find an Engine !

The basic difference is what they use to produce mechanical work. General rule of thumb is that Engines use thermal energy of some form (steam, petrochemical combustion) while Motors convert electrical energy into mechanical work.

But yes, it would be a good engine to start with, since it is a Gen III Engine that is a alumn block and head.. would save on the weight. But as noted above.. do you home work on what is real so you don't end up wasting money.

As SuperDave stated.. $1600 is a good price. but that is just the opening bid.. I would expect it to be closer to $2500. but read what you are getting.. no PCM, add around $150 or so, has brackets, but not front accessories.. so.. Has a Water pump but no PS pump and alternator would be another $100-$200 (these are just ball park figures.)

What about any Return if it is not what it is or fails....?

$2500 for an 11 year old ls1? A z28 camaro is barely worth that much... Even $1600 sounds like a lot without any accessories.
I'd just check in the classifieds here and performancetrucks or watch craigslist. You can get ls2s, ls3s, l92s in the $2500 range.
