Default LS1 harness, LS1 o2 sensors, 5.3 ecm, 5.3 motor. Issues.

LONG story short i got a motor from a guy that was "turn key". It is a 02 5.3. He ended up using a '00 f body computer and harness. Turns out, the computer still had the ls1 tune on it(which actually ran the 5.3 pretty well). Well now, i got a computer programmed for a 5.3 and now i seem to have lost communication with my o2 sensors. The o2 sensors are 00 camaro sensors (as thats what the harness was originally). So, i notice in the pinouts the only difference with relation to the o2's is pin 63. The f body has nothing there and the truck stuff has a o2 sensor ground there. So, what do you suppose i ought to do with this mess?

PS my swap is running in a 90 suburban.

Ok, so i just went back out there and took some screen shots from my scanner app thing. The really strange thing is that i can hold the peddle about half way down and it will just rev for a second then cut out and repeat over and over. I have a video uploading now of it. Also, it seems to be reading the o2's, but its all wacky. I'll post back in a few wehen everything is loaded.

The pcm you are using is for a truck that utilized isolated grounds for the O2. The ls1 and most of the early trucks used a case ground system. You can probably just flash that PCM with a operating system from the same year, just make sure and use a case ground system.

Video, I have it at idle then a little bit of gas then up to about 40% throttle. When its "surging" the peddle is at a steady position.

The video is black because its dark out but you can hear the motor.

Put the f-body pcm back in and have it tuned.

Put the F-Body PCM back in and have it programmed. That's your best bet without getting into swapping/modifying wire harnesses and replacing other parts.

I already told you that your pcm is looking for an isolated ground system and its running with a case ground system. You need to have the fbody pcm tuned and use it. It is for a case ground system. What year fbody pcm do you have? I can flash pcms, and depending on the year I might be able to help you out on price a little.

Post #3! How did i not see that?! Guess i was excited about posting my vids and crap... Sorry about that. I think me and a guy on another board came up with a solid plan. Im going to send him the 5.3 ecm and the f body pcm and have him sort of combine the two programs. The Fbody pcm is a 2000. I appreciate the offer a lot! But right now it looks like we have it covered. I have asked the fella who is working with me on this to let me know what the difference is between the two programs just for fun. So, when the time comes, i will report back with more details. I SHOULD have the f body ecm with with 5.3 fuel/spark tables etc, back in about 5-6 days. Thanks everyone for the help!
