Default Gen III/IV block with a 1993-1997 T-56???

I have a 4.8 truck motor from a 2005 Tahoe. I found a deal for a T-56 out of both a 1993 & 1995 camaro. Both have LT1/GenII motors...

Can I use a T-56 with my 4.8/GenIII/IV block in my 70 Chevelle??

Every A-body swap guide set up here: LSx into 64-72 GM A-body, used a T-56 from a 1998 and up vehicle..

I know that the 1997 & below T-56 has the external slave cylinder and the 1998 & up has the internal slave cylinder. The 1998 & up are supposed to work better with this gen III motor because of the correct bolt pattern and input shaft....

Does anyone know if I can make the older t-56 work? I dont want to buy it if its not worth it....

What about the bellhousing and flexplate and clutch? The one I was gonna use is off a LT1 because it has very low miles.... Will these even work if I do that other $398 conversion with the cover and shaft????
