Yea, this isn't my DD, it's more of a project / race car. I literally rewired this this thing from head to toe, ditched the ABS and anything else that was taking up space and adding weight. I could have retained everything but wasn't concerned about it.

Ha yeah I'm sure. People are realizing with a little work they can make it happen pretty easily. I had my first v8 swap in this car back in 2003 and I only knew of 3 others then. People weren't making build threads as much as they are today so I'd imagine there are a lot more of them then we realize.

Well IMO theres a difference in throwing in a V8 (which can be done in a wknd if its a LT1 or Carb'd) than a LSx/T56. The extreme version being the LSx/T56. Its relatively easy with a TH350/400 or even a 4-speed auto. But regardless theres probably less than 10 LSx swapped 300s out there and only 3 that ive seen with the T56 6-speed. Either way its awesome!

There is also a difference in a clean install and something just slapped together. Worse thing I have found doing this is rewiring a truck harness to allow the ecu to sit under the passengers feet still. I am trying to keep my car completely stock looking all the way around until the hood is opened. No crazy aftermarket gauges, keep A/C and heat, and have everything work as normal.

Oh I agree as well! Not to toot my horn but from all the ones ive seen, Id consider mine to be one of if not the most cleanest one done. IMO, mine looks like the LS1 was supposed to be there. But thats just me.

Yours is BY FAR the cleanest I've seen. I'm going for a weekend car build, so no A/C, I do plan on adding power steering. Actually I have question, what did you do about the variable assist motor on the rack? Do you use the factory P/S computer? ... currently running 225's up front and would like to get the P/S done before I do

The radiator and fans look like a perfect fit from the pics.
I cant even imagine what this swap would be like if you had a ls1 and t56. It would be so "extreme".
