Default Tanks Inc pump module work in stock 57 Nomad tank?

Currently running an external pump for an LS7 in a 57 Nomad. It is just too noisy and I want to convert to an internal pump.

does anyone know if the In-Tank Fuel Pump Module from tanks, Inc will work with a stock 57 Nomad tank. The setup requires a 4" flat surface on top for mounting. Haven't dropped the tank yet to see if it has 4" flat surface.

I'd be more concerned about the inside of the tank, and whether you've got any baffles that will keep fuel surrounding the pump sock. Without the baffles, you run the risk of having fuel slosh away from the pump when turning with a low fuel level.

The reservoir tray of this pump module is suppose to solve that.

Google is a wonderful thing. Looks like the top of those tanks are pretty damn flat.

Tanks Inc makes a metal recess that you can have welded into the top of your tank to give you clearance for their module.

Aeromotive makes a similar product that uses a foam basket. Not cheap at $550 though. You still might need to weld in an insert for clearance

Yes, the gas tank for a 57 sedan or coupe is very flat. No problem with one of those tanks, but the nomad tank is nothing like those tanks.

I cut the top out of a Silverado tank and mounted it in my 75 Mercedes tank. Here is a pic of just before cutting the hole.

Pop. I think that tank you got in the link is for the Sedan/Hardtop. You need to look at the Station Wagon tank.. they are shaped differently that the standard cars tanks.

I looked at Tanks inc for there picture

The wagons are different than the sedans, but I was thinking a '57 Nomad had the tank that curved around the spare tire well, not sure a regular wagon is the same. Pretty much the best way to tell would be to drop your tank and actually look at it, but that would suck. could you see anything by looking through the wheel well, to see if it's flat on top?

I'll have to wait a few days before I will see it again, but in gonna try to find out without taking it out. If I can't, I'll just have to drop it.

I googled some pics, and it appears that the tank is flat on top, but what might be the problem is getting the pump and sender to reach the bottom of the tank, since it doesn't look flat. They were pics of just the tank, so mounted in the car it may be different than what I was seeing.
