Default what is this sensor?

Can anyone help me with some information about what this sensor is? It is mounted to the front of the right head on an '05 GTO engine. It has a tube from one end that was hooked to the side of the throttle body and the tube on the other end went to something at the rear of the engine. It has a two prong electric connection on it and a schrader type valve on the tube on one end. Is this necessary for the operation of the engine or can I just remove it? This engine is going in a custom installation with a Porsche transmission.

Here is a photo of it.

So I can just delete it and not worry about having to have it hooked up?

If you do not have to have emissions testing then you can delete it and not run it. You will of course have to block unused ports and delete the trouble codes for the evap system.

If you aren't running an emissions friendly swap, then you can remove it.

For reference/future identification, the green cap on the line going to it is a standardized thing for EVAP systems.

The largest vacuum cap you find at the parts stores should be the right size to cap the port on the intake.
