Default LS# stalls at idel

Doing this for a friend. He has a 55 Chevy that he put a LS3 hot cam high performance motor 430 hp with headers in it. RPM factory set 550. It wants to go dead and seems to load upon fuel. Otherwise runs strong. When you bump it to 750 runs good but will go back to the factory preset at 550. Fuel pressure is 60 lbs. Any quick fix known?

550? That sounds a bit low, especially with any kind of cam added. I can't idle under 700 without stalling issues. Who tuned it?

Quick fix would be to adjust the idle screw on the throttle if it has one.
