I'm wiring up my A/C, and I'm a little confused. The techrods harness has a green and whit wire fir the A/C recognition circuit, but I'm not sure where to connect this in. Does it get 12v when the compressor is on?

Usually it taps into compressor wire. When it senses a 12v turn on, it makes ECM bump up idle rpm a little

Okay. SO running 12v directly to the computer in the correct pin will do it? I have an extra wire from the pressure switch I can run to it.

I'm pretty sure the PCM uses a 5vdc reference signal for a/c on

5v? My speartech GM harness had a green wire which i was told to connect to compresser 12v turnon

Downset is correct. I have used two of their harnesses. Connect it to the wire that brings the compressor on. I connected mine right at the compressor. It does bump idle slightly, and also brings on both fans to move more air across the condensor...
