Your not over your head I did mine with a major budget in mind. Basically sold all my good ford parts to fund the swap. Kept the turbo system. All in all I think I came out of pocket maybe 600 bux. For the harness I would go to a picka pull find a good truck harness and either rework it yourself to save cash or send it to bill at bp automotive. Hes very good. And get one of his Fuse block assemblies. Or just buy the harness from him or one of the sponsors on here. Decide which k member you want and decide which oil pan and headers to get based on the many various build threads or links on the internet. It can be done cheap. Just depends on what you want. The headers, k member, harness and motor mounts are going to eat up a chunk of your budget there. Then you are going to have to get a shifter and the driveshaft made.

I was thinking on a chromemoly upr k member with the motor mounts included, and the cts-v oil pan and pickup tube, but I do not kno anything about the headers besides useing 351 headers with welded on flange's but is that the best idea , and what do u kno wiring it up , and I don't kno if its easily done but what about runing p.s and a/c any idea's????

Use a AJE k-member with LS motor mounts and the AJE trans cross member and use the LS f-body oil pan ........Do not use power steering because you don`t need it......get a manual rack and don`t worry about ac.........use the Dynatech headers or here some cheapys....

You can also get out cheap using a fbody cluster with the PSI pigtail, PSI also make a good wiring harness.

It really doesn't lighten it up much.

Directly from UPRs website the chromoly k-member is only 4 lbs lighter than the mild steel k-member. Read down the the questions and answers
