Default 2nd gen camaro ls swap

Hello all, im in the process of getting my 5.3 swapped into my 77 camaro. I have a question about cooling system side of things.
I plan on using a f-body pump and putting a truck pulley on it. Just wondering whos else has done this and what rad hoses they have used/radiator.

Thanks, Jake

IIRC.......... with the stock truck WP, you can use the truck rad. hoses and stock Camaro radiator. FWIW.... I don't think the truck FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive) will work though. The FEAD that works without any interference is the Vette drive. Some people have used the GTO setup but have issues with the PS pulley/steering box. You can get NEW Vette setup fairly cheap from PACE performance http://paceperformance.com/i-6485405...7-engines.html

Im not running the factory truck FEAD, i have modified the truck p/s bracket and made custom mounts to relocate the tensioner to the other side. Also made dual alternator setup for the right side. So i need to run the f-body pump.

I have a 4 core rad in the car from the previous motor so i would like to keep it in.

Also the truck rad will not fit in the factory rad mount, ive tried it.

Cost me pretty well nothing to do it this way, just have to buy a water pump.

Build thread?

Also, still no ideas on what hoses to use?

Vette drive here no fitment issues. But, since you can make your brackets, there's no issues for you either. Hoses... I used a late 80's Ford E350 van upper hose as my lower hose, but had to chop it and add an elbow because my engine is set further back than the typical conversion. Upper hose is a 4th gen f-body upper hose. Check out the water pump for a newer vette. The outlet is located on the driver side of the pulley, instead of the passenger side. It might be a worth-while alternative.

I have my engine about 3 inches back as to where the bellhousing used to be, so its quite far back.
Thanks ill check into those hoses.
From what ive read online the new vette pump would be ideal, but the spacing for the tensioner mount is different and im using that for my alternators.

Thanks for the help, im gonna start another thread with a bunch of pics

The 2010 camaro LS3/Auto has the outlet on the drivers side as well and works with the truck spacing as it had VVT. I had to space the vet bracket 1 1/2" off the head to line it all up. Good Luck
