Default Is the T56 the same lenth as 4L60E/4L80E?

Is it? I am putting a T56 in my Chevelle and at one had a 700r4 in the car. I know the 700r4 and and 4l60e are the same. If the T56 and the 700r4 are the same I already have a driveshaft!

Looks to be a 1/2" difference between them. If your old driveshaft was a bit short then it should work for the T56.

I guess the shaft will have to be shortened then. It fit a little tightwhen in the air. I had to jack the rear end up to get it in and out.
