Winter Build
Hey guys as many of you already know I completed an LS swap on my G35 2 years ago with upgraded forged internals, cam, and heads ect. So this winter I decided to start up another little project. This was the idea I wanted to put a supercharger on my car but, all the tuner kits out on the market where around 4k or more. So I decided to go the cheap route and fabricate my own kit. So I started looking around the internet and picked up a 2012 GT500 supercharger from EBAY for $300 that had only 2000 miles on it and had an upgraded smaller pulley. So now I came to the issue of making the Ford supercharger fit onto my Chevy engine. So I did a little research and bought an all aluminum intake manifold from Edelbrock. What I did next was cut the flanges off the manifold and boxed it all up cutting out an opening to mount the supercharger. Next I put on larger injectors, new fuel rails, and new fuel lines. I was also able to buy a larger serpentine belt and run the supercharger off the crankshaft. I completed the whole project for under $1000

The last DIY Ford blower setup I saw was in the 400-450 HP range if I recall. It was on a BMW. I think it had a stock LS1.
Curious to see how this turns out. I've been toying with the idea for a long time. Hood clearance is a big issue for me though.

That is why i made the manifold so low so i wouldnt have to cut the hood. Ive done a little work on the car before my sc setup. Engine wise im running ported/polished 243 heads and a aggressive cam from when it was NA with nitrous. The car put a pretty good amount of power down at the dyno it put around 600 tq to the wheels and 560hp to the wheels at 12psi. I have to run meth injection though since im not running an intercooler so once i hook that up i wont have to pull as much timming and should get alot more power out of it
