Default 5.3/4l60e swap into a '64 chevy truck

I just puchased a 2003 chevy tahoe that runs and drives. I want to swap the motor and trans into my '64 chevy pickup. It looks like they make motor mount adapters to make it bolt in, and I already have a bolt in trans crossmember installed. It doesnt seem like there is much more to mounting the engine/trans than that. As far as fuel goes it looks like a walbro 255 along with a wix 'vette filter and some various fittings and line will get my fuel taken care of. My main concern in wiring. I am hoping to avoid having to buy and expensive harness kits. This is a budget build. Since I have a complete running vehicle I would like to use as much of the factory stuff as possible. What do I need to know to be able to wire this thing on the cheap? Thanks, Jared

I used a psi harness on my conversion after I had already reworked my stock harness. My truck wasn't running right and I thought it was a wiring problem turned out to be a ECM problem. Reworking the harness was not hard at all using lt1swap.com. Put if you do go with a company I would choose psi Jon is a great guy and helped me with a lot of problems I had with my swap.

Lt1swap.com. Start reading and if you are fami liar with how wiring/electricity works, then its not all that hard. If you are clueless about it, then by all means buy an aftermarket harness and save yourself some trouble.
