Default LQ4 Pinging

So I'm getting what I think is pinging in 5th and 6th gear. I've tried running 93 octane with no success. I'm using the MSD 6010 controller and pill #1.

Doesnt make any sense. The car is over half the weight of the truck the engine was pulled out of. Maybe a different heat range plug? Any suggestions would be helpful!!

I posted in here because I figured this is were the most experience would be found with conversions.

The tune/diagnostic forum says PCM on it, so I figured my carbureted application didn't apply there.

I did put a copy in the carbureted LSX forum, maybe someone can help.

No just dropped the carb on right out of the box.

How would the secondaries cause this issue? Not trying to be a wise guy, just learning..

Still curious if anyone has any knowledge how the secondary's can effect this?

Back to orange ss, thanks! I'll look into it tonight.

secondaries aren't the root cause, carb needs tuned or reduce timing

This may or may not be related but, I had a pinging problem on my Silverado that drove me nuts. Ended up being the bendix hitting against the flywheel. Only heard it at freeway speeds under a load.
