Small update
I was able to finish the bottom end, and put my oil pan on for good.
I also located another head, tore it down, cleaned it up, and switched everything over from my other head as well as lap the valves. The exhaust seats had a few rough spots that cleaned up nicely with only a few spins.
Copper coated the gasket, and slapped her on.
Only thing left to do internally is I still need to clean up my rocker arms, and install them. Otherwise it's complete.
I bought a set of c6 exhaust manifolds. I set one on to see if it would clear the ac compressor but found it hits the motor mount. Then I got to looking around on here, and anyone who's gone turbo and used forward facing c6 manifolds used an AJE k member. How the engine attaches is way different then the UPRs. Once I can get that sold, I'll order up an upr. Minor set backs, oh well.

Nothing much to report other then I ordered the aje k member, and installed my rockers and push rods.
Last night I was bumming around my shop and decided to lay my holley efi harness on to see how well it fits. Well let's just say it's definitely a universal harness. Here's the injector harness...
Lots of slop, and it would work for some, but that doesn't fly with me, so I started cutting...
And ended up like this on both sides. Need to buy some braided loom and it will look really nice.
Not too bad. But then I decided, screw it I'll just cut the whole harness up to get it to fit as cleanly as possible. No biggie!
So we will see where this goes from here. Should turn out nice tho.

No problem. Honestly, if your very fussy about wiring, I'd suggest just getting the universal harness. It's basically a harness with no connectors on it. I pretty much had to cut and move everything.

I finished up the harness today. I'm happy with the end result.
Here the back where everything comes together. I had to move the fuel pressure and map plugs to the back of the harness. They were at the front originally for some reason.
I picked up an f body water pump, and cleaned up my used pully, and painted it.
And lastly one of my employees trolled me when I was working on the harness.
I have a few sensors on order, along with the aje k member. I picked a bad *** 180 amp single wire alternator. Once that comes in I'll have to figure out a way to route my accessory stuff and then it will be ready to go in the car.
Getting real close folks!

Stumbled up on a post on here about a new engine not having oil pressure. Come to find out the restrictor in the back of the block was missing. This being my first ls engine I didn't know about that little $7 part, so I pulled the rear cover off and checked. It was missing.
So I fixed that.
I ordered a bunch of little things that I didn't have. A tps sensor, iat, iac, cts, and the adapter plug the goes in the back of the block where the oem oil pressure sender went so I could run my holley oil pressure sensor. I picked up the little cover plate that goes above the the oil filter that has a 1/8 npt port for the turbo oil feed.
Since the holley won't control alternator output, i picked up a self regulated 140 amp single wire alternator. Had to get creative and make my own bracket, but I don't see why this won't hold. It also gives me a little more flexibility when it comes time to find a belt.
I had some aluminum spacers laying around that worked perfectly. They are for raising the top clamp on hayabusa handle bars. Only needed 3 extra washers to get every thing lined up. I plan to run a camaro tensioner, and the above the alternator i ordered a brackets that bolts to the head with an idler on it. Otherwise shooting from the water pump to the alternator the belt only had about 3/4 of an inch touching. It should wrap about half way around now close to how they do from factory.
Other then that I torqued down my flex plate, and the new k member should be in Friday. I hope to have the engine and trans in the car by this weekend! More pics to come!

Finished the serpentine system. The dirty dingo bracket is very nice, and is exactly what I needed. Had an old belt I used to measure, and got the right belt the first time. 60.5in.
I'm really happy how it turned out.
The new k member comes in tomorrow, so might try to have the engine in by evening. We will see though.

Not to criticize by any means but is there enough contact on the crank pulley?
The belt contact area looks to be very minimal and that is the pulley that needs the most.

We are running a similar setup on my buddies SS, but we are using the factory alternator bracket with no idler pulleys on the car at all. Only the waterpump and alternator are being used and haven't had any problems with the car sitting in traffic or anything.

Super excited! New k member came in...
What's going on here...?
**** yeah! 6 months in the making!
I need to order the aje turbo 400 k member as there factory for kmember can only be used with a 350 trans I guess. Once that comes in, it will be going to my buddies shop for the turbo kit fab work. I'm so damn excited about this!

My x member came in for the trans, and looks like it will work fine based off of just setting it up to the trans. I also ordered a 1400 of stainless and aluminum for the turbo kit.
I'll need to buy the aje a arms because the UPR arms don't fit go figure. Once I get those done, and the steering shaft in I can haul the car over to my buddies shop where he will do all the fab work. Pics soon!
