Default crankshaft spacer for 5.3

I'm looking to mount a th400 or a 700r4 trans to my 99 5.3 and was wondering what spacer I should go with? Gm has one, part # 12563532 and was wondering if thats the one to get or if someone else has a solution to this problem. Also should I run a sbc flexplate or go with the one that came with my motor. Thanks

You need the Gen III flexplate, not the SBC flexplate. Several people make the spacer, they are all pretty much the same concept with a slightly different design.

A bit of light reading for you... https://ls1tech.com/forums/17524056-post13.html
