Just my 2 cents...Great project!

That stinks, I have a hundred bucks or so of this ready to go in my car....

Use it. It's fuel line. It's made for this.

Default Ls3 headers

Nicke-

I got my headers and noticed I have egr mounts on each of them. Yours don't have that??? Did I buy the wrong ones, starting to wonder if I did....

Hmmm, there were no EGR mounts on my headers, but they didn't fit either way. I hope you have better luck with yours!

Mine fit, it's really close to the steering box but they fit. What did you run into that didn't work? Or are you concerned how close they sat to the steering box?

You will only need about 6-8 feet to make the run under the car.

Not really. It is made for race fuel which doesn't have the many detergent additives that street gas. Also, race car hose is pressure tested, inspected, and replaced on a regular basis. This **** isn't like a Ronco...you don't "set it and forget it."

Funny, it said fuel line when I bought it. Not race fuel line.

I've used this stuff in the past, and know others who have used it. Zero problems after several years. If you've had issues, perhaps you're buying cheap Chinese line or something.

Hey Nick- don't want to be a pain but why didn't the ls3 headers work? Mine fit, tight but they seem to fit good.....let me know your thoughts on the set you had.

Thanks!

There was no way mine were going to fit because of steering box clearance. I have power steering and the 3rd tube bends right into it. A different configuration would work, but I didn't want to mess with it. For me, step one is getting it running. Then I'll decide on performance parts later.

Hmm, the ls3 headers I got are about a 1/4 away from my steering box but so are the stock 5.3 headers so I guess I'm just gonna go with it for now, I don't have any other options and if I spend $600 on dynes techs my wife might blow a head gasket. However, like you I'm focused on getting it running,I want to drive it again!

Just to clarify... the headers that didn't work were the 69 camaro swap headers.

The LS3 Manifolds, however, worked perfectly...

Quick update... I got the gas pedal installed. The original 2007 denali pedal worked perfectly, as if it were made for this swap. I also got the steam port tapped into the upper radiator hose, as well as the intake routing finalized. I was even able to tap into a vacuum port so that I could retain the original manifold vacuum gauge in the dash.
Also mounted the ECM, TCM and aux fuse panel.

Left to do is install the TCC switch, and wire up the few remaining gauges.

Should be firing her off shortly!

Got the rest of the wiring done and all the loose ends tied up. I'm going to hook things back up tomorrow and try to start it for the first time!

I hope my next update is a video of the car running!
