If you aren't hearing it or feeling it when it runs, the it must have just been the video. When I first heard it at start up, first thing I thought was a rod knock.

I listened to the video again and I can hear what you mean. It doesn't sound like that in real life, and that was literally the first time it has been run in more than a year. I did prime the oil system before cranking, and got 60lbs of oil pressure prior to firing it off. It starts and runs as smooth as a sewing maching right now.

Ok guys, question:

I have read every thread on this and still cant seem to find a solution:
How do I get my aftermarket digital speedometer to work with my E38 ECM?
I have it hooked up correctly, to the Speedo output signal from the PCI harness, but it reads really high and isn't accurate, except for when going 0 mph. When hooked up to a scanner though, the speed is accurate, so I know the calibration is correct in the tune.

Thoughts?
Thanks

I liked the idea of digital gauges, but now that I have them in, I don't like them. I knew it was just a temporary fix, so I could see all the vitals on the LS engine. At some point down the road, I likely be switching them out for some VHX gauges.

With no power, my current gauges are dark, and look invisible.

With power...

Great thread. My dad and I just bought a 66 wagon and looking for the basics. Already have one swap more I want to do it again just cheaper.

First how is the fuel tank working out so far

Second, any idea how thick the adapter plates are fit the engine mounts? It looks like dirty dingo has the thickest premade plates and yours have a nice fit with the Holley pan.

I have more questions but I can't think of them right now

and by the way I have the braided nylon, without the stainless liner inside and it has never leaked or smelled on my swap car that's been fine for 4 years now

The Teflon lining is a bit overkill and is probably intended more for e85 or some serious race gas
