Default Any GM body LS conversions for sale?

Fellas, I'm in the market for a new car and want to buy something between now and spring. Coming from the turbo Buick and old school muscle car scene, I'm looking for an LS motored car. I'm debating about buying a C6 Corvette or 5th gen Camaro. But before I do, I wondering if it's any really nicely built LS conversions for sale. I like most GM body cars from the 60's to current. I'm open to a slightly or heavily modified street car that could be driven anywhere. I'm particular and looking for a very nicely built car. I do the street scene, car shows and cruise nights. I'm also open to projects that might need paint or interior. Mechanically the car needs to be 100%!!! The car must be done right and it must be solid. No junk. My budget is in the mid twenties on down, depending on the car. I've been looking in the for sale section for the past few months and haven't seen what I'm looking for. If any of you guys are thinking about selling your car or project. Let me know. Pm, email me or say something here. turbo6time@gmail.com

Thanks

I bid on this through ebay, sound like what may fit the bill for you. It didnt sell so he may still have it. Mid 20's would be a great start, had I found this before I started my conversion I would have been all over it.

That car is cool and had me thinking. But, I'm still leaning toward the muscle car body side. The quality of that build is what I'm talking about. Thank you very much for the link. If you see anything else, let me know.

You could also put this up in the WTB section. I cruise through there every once in a while and try to help someone out, but not very often I have what they am hunting for.

Best bet is to look now, and not wait for spring. Prices on muscle cars and such tend to be lower when the seller is looking to make winter garage space. In the spring, folks might try to capitalize on "spring fever." Craigslist is fertile ground for bargains, especially if you're patient and dig through ads where maybe someone didn't completely spell out what they're selling. Example:

"1981 Pontiac FS" is a vague title that will get little traffic, while "1981 Trans Am WS6 LS1/T56 with C5 Z06 wheels" would generate some attention. To drive home the point more, I just scored a set of 17x9.5 C4 sawblade wheels for $100 off CL. They'd sat for over a month with little attention because the prior owner had them listed as "1993 corvette wheels."The same wheels go for 400+ asking price on ebay.
