Question c5 Z06 inside a F-Body

I have a question, before I bought my Trans Am I wanted to buy a ws6 roller with the idea of swapping an LQ9 engine into it. However, looking at all the things I would have to invest in such as: Rear end, suspension, and transmission, I got the idea of just instead of buying all those things and "building" the car I could just buy a crashed vette and piece it together on the F-Body. Now I'm not sure how c5's actually were, I know I have the same engine the 5.7L. So this got me thinking, can it be done? I know the engine can be swapped and brakes, but what about the transmission, drivetrain, suspension, and rear end? Will it be worth dropping around 8 grand for it? Has anyone done this before?? Its literally just putting every bolt from this to the fbody. Will it all fit??
Here is what Im thinking about if you are unsure....

Into a 4th gen fbody?
Good luck...
Fbodies are unibody cars (the body of the car is the actual frame itself), where as Corvettes are frame-on-body cars (you can remove all body panels and drive around with just the frame).
You would have to do a lot of welding, hacking and cutting to make things work.
If you want a nice fbody you would be much better off just buying one in great condition, going with the koni/strano suspension setup + a fays2 watts link, and C5 front brakes.
If you are dead set on having IRS there are a few people who have swapped C4 IRS into 4th gens and 3rd gens, but that was quite a bit of work as well. You can see their threads in the suspension section.

The C5 also has the transaxle setup. Where the trans is mounted to the IRS. You better have a chassis shop custom build that for you.. If you got the coin go for it! I always dreamed about it...

For 8 grand you'd be better off buying a decent f-body.

DO IT!!!!!! but do it in a 1st gen f-body or a 3rd gen Nova X-body or a full frame A-body.

Too many issues with the unibody cars. You need frame rails to support everything.

Cut the floor pan up, build a carrier for the rear end in the rear frame rails.

you'll have to figure something out with the driveshaft length to make the wheelbase fit.

The front subframe can be cut up to let the front vette subframe rails fit in it. Weld it all together and drive the crap out of it...

Please do this!!

Haha! I wish I had your enthusiasm for it! I thought the 02 style T/A would be the coolest because I would have daily driven it so I can keep this T/A that I own now under the 30k miles
I'd feel to ashamed to DD a classic hot rod! That's too bad *** for the streets to handle!

If a dude did it with a Civic, it can surely be done with a 4th gen f-body.

If you're going to do it to an F-body, then just build the f-body motor and worry about the rear differential/IRS and the front K-member integration.

Don't pay for an LS6 and T-56 if you've already got that stuff in the TA. Just figure out how to make the IRS and front vette suspension to mount in the TA.
It's possible, it'll just take time and ambition.
