Hey guy's I was going to buy a c6 corvette to take apart for my c3 conversion
But the guys here told me that I can't use the transmission so
What's the best donor car I can buy ( to use most of it )
Please help me on this one guys since I have no knowledge in ls swapped cars
all I can say that I Won't Be Doing the work ( a performance shop ) will handle that and I will bring the parts they need

The 2005 and 2006 GTO came with the 6.0L LS2 and a 4L60e or regular manual transmission. That's the setup I bought. LS2 is extremely responsive to mods too.

I don't know there's a right answer. A lot depends on the accessories you'll run, ie AC, PS, what trans, your current rear end ratio, engine choice, and your budget.
Most of the LS series parts are interchangeable, so it's fairly easy to mix and match engines, trans, accessories.

i was looking into this a few years ago for a friends 81

4th gen fbody seems to be a great option for parts, in addition to the engine/trans themselves

there are guys using a lot of the parts out of them in c3, even the radiators.

Where are you located?
The f body pan, accessories, trans, etc all fit pretty well in a C3.
If that's hard to find, there are other options. I used a 6.0 LQ9 truck motor in my 68 vette.

Would a GTO or Holden be easier to find?

Other possible donors: Holden Ute or a V8 Isuzu Trooper (don't know about hood clearance for the intake).
