LY6 or LS3 S10?
Hey guys. Need some help. I bought an 09 LY6 w 27k on it last year to swap into my 00 s10. I am just down to purchasing the nickel and dime stuff besides my harness and LS3 accessories. I currently am set up for to mate it to a t56 built for 800+HP. I have a ported ls3 intake for it and plan on putting a nice set of aftermarket heads with all internals, cam, LS3 front accessories. I'm not sure if I'm keeping the VVT or deleting it. The only reason I plan on deleting it is because of there is very few tune shops around New England to my knowledge that have a good reputation on tuning it. My concern is I am shooting for 500+ hp and I dump the $5500 I have into the ly6 or buy an ls3

Definitely need more info.
500 RWHP or crank? if your talking crank, a cam change will get you 500 HP at the crank with a good tune.
I'd keep the ly6 personally since you already have it as would cost a bunch more for he ls3 and its not that much bigger but the larger bore does let the heads flow better and the lighter intake valves on the ls3 are beneficial depending on how high you are going to turn it.
Most the things you are buying would need with a ls3 anyways.
