Default Alternator Relocation Question

So i'm a bit of a newb to the LS family, bare with me guys.

So i'm in the middle of a 5.3 turbo build to drop into my fox, i've done tons of reading and it seems many guys with turbo 5.3's relocate the alternator. My block is currently in the shop being reassembled and it is almost done. My question is..

What is the purpose of relocating it? Does it impede the routing of the turbo piping?

What is the best spot to relocate the alternator? I've seen people with it mounted up high on the passenger side, and some down low on the drivers side.

If i'm planning on running an F body style alternator on the bracket will I need to swap to ALL F body accessories?

BTW I will be running a car style LS intake manifold.

Yes on the swap of the front end accessiores. Or you can space out the f-body alt bracket 0.75" to match the truck spacing.
As far as relocating. I can't say for sure... but it would be for routing... as you have read... some do and some don't.

i want the brackket from speedway motors. There is a guy on here running one. It looks nice and puts the alt closer to the engine.

I moved the alternator up to the passenger side because if you run truck manifolds facing forward the alternator is in the way

Of course that is if you run the turbo in that location.. comes down to routing again.. many use the truck manifolds cause they are a cheap and easy way to get the turbo mounted and routed.
