A good stall will help alot. then combined with a steeper gear and sticky tires u would be amazed how much it would pick up. Then add about a 150 shot and u would be in the mid to low 10s. main thing id focus on is getting it to leave good. The more u pick up in the first 60 feet will help u acheive a better et.

you never mention suspension? I'm not thinking you have 10's in that set up but 11's are not out of the question... you never mention 60 ft times..weight...suspension mods all of which can get a stock 302 deep into the 12's or better.... The tires and gearing you have def aren't going to help things as others have said

The cam is an aggressive cam that came out of a 6.2 vette. Its big for a 5.3 but it can handle it. Just need the right stall for it. Drive train parts are all upgraded to handle that rpm. I have my shift point set to 7k for 1st and 2nd and 6900k for 3rd.

To run a mid 12 all you need are:
1) rear gears, 3.55 or 3.73 would be good, 4.10's would work also
2) drag radials, Nitto 275 50 15s or equivalents for your 16" wheels
3) good, weld in, subframe connectors would help but are not part of the bare minimum list
4) practice launching
If you put in a 4.10 you probably would not need a converter, especially if you pull out a couple hundred pounds.
If the engine is not making power at 6900 or 7000 RPM, you are probably slowing yourself down by shifting so high.
A 109 mph trap could put you in the 12.2's if your setup was correct and you got good at driving it.

I missed the 235 cam, 4.10 plans and 3200 stall plans.
With a good drag radial and subframe connectors that thing should run low 11's high 10's if you learn how to launch it and get your shift points correct.
