Default Wiring question

I am modifying a harness from an 04 avalanche for my next swap. I have two different wires to chose from for the Data Link Connector. They are listed below. Which one do I need to use?

C1-58 PCM Class 2 Serial Data dark green
C1-59 Class 2 Serial Data yellow

Yep 58 dark green is what GM uses to go to the DLC. The yellow wire on pin 59 goes to the BCM. It would probably work, but I prefer to follow GM`s lead as much as possible.

I don't see that Yellow one working honestly, it's the line to the BCM to communicate certian functions.

For example in a truck that turns the little Tow/Haul light on.
