Default What size cowl for 5.3 foxbody?

I was wondering what size cowl hood would be needed to run the truck manifold on a fox body with AJE K member. I would rather stay with the truck over messing with an LS1 manifold or ls6. I couldn't find anything with the search.

So far I have found someone using a 2.5" with it clearing. Is this right?
Thanks

That sounds about right, but why not try and pick up an LS6 into anyway?
Most sell the stock intakes for like 300-500.
Bought the same as buying a cowl hood?

Wouldn't I have to run a newer style water pump with that? What else needs to be done to run the ls6 manifold? I'll look into it for sure.

If you want to run an LS1 or LS6 intake you need LS1 water pump and accessories or there is a kit that adds in idler or something so the belt will clear. The only real advantage of the LS1/6 is it looks better. Truck intake flows just as much. If you want to spend 500 on and intake that looks cool Holley and Edelbrock make some really nice LS high rises manifolds.

Yeah that is what I was reading. I would rather get a used cowl or bite the bullet on a new one as opposed to messing with the accessories and water pump and such. She don't need to purty to go fast
