conversion help
I have a 77 Camaro 250I6 factory a/c. My dad and I are looking to swap in a LS based engine. A few questions, As far as the A/C and Pwr Steering would I use the ones from new engine or make brackets for the old ones. If I use the new A/C do I need to change out Evap, condenser ect or will the old be compatible. The A/C on the car was re-done recently.

I think you would use the AC Comp and Pwr Steeting from the new engine. I don't know about the evap...but I would suspect that you would use the old evap.

as long as the compressor is fixed displacement, it should be compatible. nothing magical about using hodge podge of AC parts.
I would use the new pump and compressor and did in my conversion. You will likely need adapter fittings on the pump and AC compressor. And to change the hose lengths.
I would try running the stock accessories. They worked for me with some small adjustments. I had to space out the compressor pulley and build a new compressor belt tensioner in my L92 swap.
