Default Engine Harness wire/component deletion??

Looking for input on wire deletion from harness. I have an LS2 /T56 from an 06 GTO and I am getting ready to work the harness. It will be in a 1968 Camaro using the factory DBW , fuel injection, headers and American Autowire Classic /factory 1968 harness and mechanical autometer gauges. NO AC, cats, fuel vapor system.
I was thinking;
1) last two o2 sensor leads
2) AC wiring
3) fuel tank pressure sensor
4) fuel gauge sensor
5) low coolant
6) EVAP canister purge and associated wiring
7)skip shift
8) EGR wiring ???

I was thinking of keeping check engine light lamp output and hooking a light to the wire??? U think it will work??

Would like feedback or ideas on how or what u guys have done and results.
Thank You,
BobH

Yes you can tie a light to the MIL wire on the ECM. The ECM grounds light to turn it on so you will need a 12 volt source to light and then tie to MIL wire on ECM.

I'm using a small LED and installed it in one of the OBD II mounting holes. AN LED will be bright when there is an issue and very dim at all other times. If using an LED be sure to use a resistor with it so you don't blow it out.

Make sure to keep all of the can-bus and OBD port wiring. You can also delete the EGR if so equipped. I would keep the oil pressure sensor in case you want to update to Can-Bus gauges.
