I'm doing the swap on my 1994 ranger 2wd non a/c right now. 5.3 Th350. The heater box is almost non existent unless you have a 3" body lift either way will need to be modified. I used ls1 s10 mounts from trans dapt, 2010 camaro ls3 exhaust manifolds with 2.5" patriot flanges welded. 1" rolled out of top frame rails on each side for exhaust clearance. Firewall seam in trans tunnel rolled back. Trans crossmember moved 6" forward and longer driveshaft. 4wd will probably be different with trans and transfercase mounting, and driveshafts.

If you don't have rag joint on the upper part of the steering shaft, hooker manifold will work too. ls1 intake and Camaro accessory drives will make fan mounting and hood clearance a whole lot better, but truck accessories and intake will work but very tight everywhere.
