lq4 and 4l60e db cable and computer
Hello everyone. I am not sure if this would be the correct place to post this so if it is not please let me know and feel free to delete it.
I have a 01 6.0 lq4 out of a 01 Yukon. I also have a 4l60e out of a 01 truck that i will be putting in a 98 2dr 2wd Tahoe. . Now my question is what computer should i be using the one from the Yukon or the truck since the Yukon was AWD.
Second question.
The motor is drive by wire and i would like drive by cable for simplicity but was unsure what to do to change it over. I know i simply need the throttle body from a drive by wire truck or car but have been told alot of different things about it working and not working.

Either PCM will work, but the LQ4 one will probably need more tuning since it would have had a 4l80e behind it originally. In 2001 the PCMs all had IAC drivers in them so you're good to go yhere, you'll just have to have your PCM tuned for DBC and add the wires for the iac and change the connectors on the throttle body. Its not really that hard to do.

Well i may be wrong about the yea of the trans. But i do know that the pcs and motor are from the 01 yukon. So what would be the simplest for the pcm? the one from the drive by cable throttle body?
Sorry to ask so many question but this will be my first ever fi motor. I have always had blown sbc motors and 700-r4 or th350 transmissions.

The DBC PCM will need a segment swap to run the 4l60e since it was originally a 4l80e, so the simplest one would be the DBW PCM since its just a matter of changing the throttle body info. But then youll have to change the info to the 6.0, so basically I would say its a wash for any good tuner, but as far as I know, not all tuning software will do a setswap, so thats something to keep in mind.
