Hey guys. I need to pick everyone's brains for a minute. My project is a 99 firebird with a 98 ls1 swap. So far the swap has been a breeze. Motor ran perfect but since it is a 98 it does not work with 99 v6 cluster. I swapped the interior 98 harness in and my cluster works but the motor won't run. It cranks and dies after 2 seconds. The fuel pump is a brand new ac delco 99 pump for ls1. I have fuel pressure at the rails. I even swapped all relays from the 99 to the 98 harness without any changes. Also, when I swapped harnesses I kept the 99 bcm in the car. Just unsure of what to do next. I have been thinking that I might need to swap the engine bay harness from the 98. Any thoughts/ideas are big help. Thanks.

sounds like the vats security is your problem. im sure somebody on here can tell you what to do.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it out and got it running today. I had cut the three connectors under the dash in order to make a conversion harness to two connectors. I had wired two blue connectors wrong.
