conversion U joint and drive shaft length
This will be going into a 99-04 body mustang with GM T56. Looking for the correct conversion u joint, I'm seeing people use the 1310 to 1330, I want to be sure this correct before I buy it, will an auto parts store carry it or is it going to have to be ordered. I will be running f body yoke in front of a 03 cobra drive shaft. Also what length is correct to have my drive shaft cut to, I've seen 43.5 on Fox body cars but don't know if length will vary to my body style. I'm trying to reduce as much down time as possible. Thanks in advance

You need to measure everything to make sure you have the correct parts and length.
03/04 Cobras had 1350 u joints
Ford Motorsports driveshafts were 1330 u joints
Most stock Mustangs had 1310 u joints but I have seen some stock steel driveshafts with 1330s and others with large cap 1310s
If you have a 03 Cobra driveshaft then you need to check if the flange yoke fits on your 8.8 since 03/04 Cobras came with large diameter companion flanges.
I would not bother with the fbody yoke if it is a 3R style u joint.
I figured all mine out by spending time reading Dennyys Driveshaft website.

Just fyi a 99 crown vic aluminum shaft is 55.5" center to center, if you need one to cut down. They are usually a lot cheaper than the Cobra shafts. I bought mine for 25.00 at the junk yard.
