Gto ls2 in '86 Monte carlo ss

The vibration struggle continues. I got burned on buying a wore out/broken t56 on this forum when I did my ls swap. After replacing all the synchro assembly's, and second gear ,blocker ring kit ect I thought it was all fixed. The trans works great, except I have had a high speed vibration ever since the swaps been complete.
I just installed my new PST 3.5" aluminum driveshaft with chromoly yokes on both ends and the vibration stayed pretty much the same.
So yesterday I pulled the trans and disassembled it and found what I suspected. The 5/6 gear pulled off by hand and was wearing the splines on the shaft and gear, you can wiggle the gear around pretty good on the shaft.
I'm really praying the vibes are gone after this is fixed! I'm also going to try to replace the tail housing bushing with the new direct fit one from AMP.
I also found something the muscle car pan is good at.

While inspecting The trans parts closely, it appears that the 3-4 synchro has wear on the 4th/input shaft side.
This trans only has 1k miles since it was rebuilt, and every synchro assembly was replaced with ones from D@D. The shift fork pads also have pretty good wear on the 4th gear side.
What would cause this wear? WOT shifts into 4th? worn teeth on the input shaft/4th?
Should I replace the synchro again or just run it? I never noticed any issues shifting into 4th. The 3rd gear side looks new still. I do have new shift fork pads.

Still waiting to hear from Jason at TDP about my mainshaft and 5-6 gear I sent him, But I had a small victory.
I decided to replace the output bushing in my t56, something thats not as simple as in an auto or just about any other trans. Luckily AMP came up with a new direct fit bushing, and thats what I used. The first one I just tapped in and it bulged, so ordered another. This one I went to homedepot and got a piece of 1.5" sink pipe to support the inside of the bushing, and used a socket inside that pipe for a little insurance because the pipe is thin walled. I put the new bushing on the pipe and put them both in the freezer for a couple hours, and heated the tail housing up with some map gas. The new bushing went in a little harder then the original came out but seems to fit perfect.
In summary: if you need to replace your t56 output bushing get the replacement from amp.

I got my main shaft back from Jason at Texas drivetrain performance today. Decided to tackle putting this thing back together. I was so nervous I was going to do something to mess it up putting it back together so I was very clean and careful. The part I had the most trouble with was the shift rails and getting the guide bolts to line up. I think they are right, shifts through all the gears on the bench.
I had Jason send me his billet keys and bronze shift fork pads also to make it a stage 2. Crazy that those few tiny pieces were $180, but supposed to be good stuff.
Going to clean the shop and get the car on the lift hopefully tomorrow and get it installed.

I need to put it back in to make sure everything on the trans is working correctly and that my vibration is gone. Next winter I may be doing the 4l80 swap. If i do the 4l80 I'm going to get a new harness and go to the 411 pcm and drive by cable, so i figured I would have around $3k in the auto swap with a good

word i like your style. do it right. maybe by then I'll have hotside for a g-body in the can

If I go 4l80e, I would need a new engine harness anyways for the auto. Then I would have to source a t42 tcm and a conversion harness for that to work with the 80e. For less money I can get a new ls1 harness, and I already have a 411 pcm. Can the stock ls2 throttle body work with the 411pcm.

It can. I asked a question about previously.
Here's a recent post with some info.

EDIT: Here's another thread I started when I considered switching to a 411 PCM. There are knock sensor considerations.
