5.3 motor for Elcamino Finally got my 5.3 torn down to the bare block,looks pretty good for 140,000 miles! Going to drop it off at the machine shop to see what it needs. Is it worth putting the 4.8 motor pistons in the 5.3 to boost compression? I was originally going with a stock rebuild but I think at least a cam upgrade is needed.Making some progress anyway!
