Default LQ4/9 swap into Jeep Cherokee XJ

I have a 97 Jeep XJ and really want to swap a 6.0 into it, and lower it. I was thinking an LQ9, 6L80E combo with a beefy rear. Does anyone know of this build being done and/or how much I would be looking at as far as getting it done through someone? This jeep is a feather and i want to put that light weight to good use. I love swaps but would rather have this done by someone who know conversions better.

Check out novak. They make all kinds of things for LS swaps in jeeps. I know there is at least one build on here of a cherokee, seems like they got it done but was having cooling issues.

It has been done a lot with the LS1. Have you looked at the cost involved? I've seen a few articles suggesting the power gain to $ ratio may not be very good. It would be an awesome jeep though!

Swaps can be cheap or expensive, depending on how much you can do.
