Default trans am carburetor conversion

Got a trans am with heads and cam. Broke the stock tranny the first pass on it. But it was still was good to drive around on and baby it since this is my daily driver. 1st and 2nd were fine but 3rd slipped hard and overdrive was near non existent.

So I just put a carburetor on it and took my first ride last night and 1st and over drive are gone? All I got is 2nd and 3rd. Which really sucks considering 3rd slips to top it off lol. Any suggestions? All I did was put a carb on it.
Running msd 6ls. And stock computer just to shift the tranny.

sounds pretty much like the trans is hurt and slowly degrading. I don't know if I'd be driving around on it. The carb install may just be coincidental.

I guess it could be. It's just weird because I put it away shifting all gears, just slippin 3rd an overdrive. 2 weeks later I drive it and it lost 1st and overdrive. Maybe. And I'm driving around on it because I'm trying to get a turbo 350, so I'm just getting the last bit I can out of the tranny while I save up for it lol
