Default tan wire for the engine coolant temp

Hi guys,
I'm new around here. Doing my first 5.3 swap in 79 c10. Anyways I have a tan wire from the engine coolant temperature sensor goes from that plug to the trans plug. I cut it. Now I need to know were to hook it back up? I Google and no help there. Btw I'm doing away with the trans wiring all to gather. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks Jay

There isnt a wire that goes from the coolant sensor to the transmission, I think maybe you have something mixed up. Are you sure the tan wire wasnt from the oil pressure sensor?
