will this kit fit a 1974 Blazer? If so sign me up for the engine brackets, engine oil pan, transmission crossmember, stainless long-tube headers and 3" exhaust system. I just picked up a LQ4 out of a 2000 Silverado 2500 at a picknpull for 130 bucks.

The parts were developed for optimized fitment on 2WD trucks; compatibility with 4WD applications will be limited. The crossmember and exhaust system will be a definite no-go for you and it's highly likely the headers will not fit as well. The engine brackets and oil pans will work for you.

Yes, I'm fully aware of the 2WD Blazers and was letting you know about the 2WD specific nature of these components in case you did have a 4WD model. With your Blazer being 2WD the only product I can't absolutely say will work in a bolt-in manner for you would be the exhaust systems.

yeah I've read every page in this post and so far have gone back 10 pages in this section of the forum trying to see what everyone else has done when they've swapped a ls series engine into a square body.

I'm a squarebody owner myself (1979) and find more information specific to our trucks, completed LS swaps included, on the forums dedicated to Chevy trucks.

yeah I'm on 67-72 chevy trucks, gmsquarebody, and a number of other forums. This blazer is my second car I'm building it up to try and get better gas mileage than my 1991 V1500 Suburban with TBI 350 and 700R4

67-72chevytrucks seems to have the most frequent member posting activity. Please make your fellow members aware of the pending release of these new Hooker products for this application...I tried to register over there as a user and was denied. I think someone must have made the connection between my user name and my employment connection to Holley and didn't want me soliciting sales, which I never do on these forums. I only dole out technical and fitment information and leave the sales to our dealers/distributors.

For some of us, doling out technical information is the absolute best way to solicit sales. I'm can't wait for these parts to be released.

Dad just picked up an 87 2wd Suburban. We're already talking about a LS/4L80 swap. Would love to see some final details and price on this. I'd love to have a "kit" to save time on this build as I just don't have the time for projects anymore.

If there's any specific details that come to mind then go ahead and ask away...it's the primary reason that I put these preview threads together. I won't be able to give you a dollar figure for what you'll pay as that will be determined by who you ultimately buy the parts from. I can tell you that the cost will be in line with what our just released G-body swap parts are going for, so you can search those parts on websites such as summitracing to get an idea as to what that will be. The parts are all designed as a system to ensure compatibility, but are sold separately to allow you to buy only what you want. There are also too many manifold, header and exhaust choices available to make packaging kits possible for us. If you can tell me what combination of parts you're wanting to put together, I'd be happy to provide you with part numbers.

I unfortunately don't have an answer for you in that regard. The only exhaust components checked for fitment forward of the exhaust system was the new Hooker long-tube headers and the Hooker cast iron LS swap manifolds. I'm sure there are at least a couple of stock LS manifolds that would fit and the most likely would be those from a 5th gen Camaro since the Hooker manifolds are closely based on those.

Well I guess I'll have to try my stock manifolds with your stands and transmission crossmember when you guys start manufacturing them

It's definitely worth giving it a try...there's a ton of room in there, so the odds are in your favor.
