Default Alternator help

I have a 94 s10 with a lq9 swap. I swapped all the accessories over to c5 corvette. The c5 corvette uses a valeo alternator that runs through the pcm when using a factory harness. I am running the holley hp and I am not using a factory harness so I planned to convert the valeo style alternator over to a 1 wire. From what I just learned they don't make a 1 wire regulator for the valeo alternator.. any suggestions please? Thanks in advance!

Search here for carbed LS swaps. No ecu and alternator is set up like a 1 wire.

Maybe look for a pic I posted of my alternator wiring setup. I'd do it, bur my phone isn't playing nice today.

All you need is a switched power source to the second pin as viewing the alternator from the rear. The line needs to be run through the dummy light circuit in the dash or have a resistor installed. Google around for the exact value.

I'm confused. Does "only when key is turned" mean only when cranking or on when the ignition is on?

On with ignition. All modern systems have ignition on while cranking. Any value
from Approx 100-470 ohm will work. Wire on alt stud ( blue arrow above) should be#8 or larger as Alt can output 100+ amps.
Use pin B in the 4 cavity connector . ( Green arrow above, also it is metri-pack 150, not weatherpack ). Steve
