Default Steering hoses

Hi, read a list of threads but still not sure...

I have a front end from a Malibu -79 on my car. I want the power steering to work with the pump on my LM7 engine from a Silverado -03. I got the hoses from the LM7. Could i use those hoses and it will work pressure wise?

Is your Malibu steering box inverted flair or metric O ring?
Options if it's inverted flair.

Another option, whether you have the o-ring or the inverted flair, is to get adapter that will turn it into a -6AN fitting. Then you go to your local industrial hydraulic hose maker, and have them make you whatever hose you need.

Ok,thanks. Can you tell from this picture? And is the left side the pressure side?

The pressure hose from the lm7 pump fits the left side of the box? Wont there be any problem with different pressure or so?

Hope dont seem stupid but technical stuff in another language...

Hard to say for sure, but it looks like a metric o-ring fitting. If you can get a better picture with more light inside the holes, I can tell you for sure.

As for which side is which, I don't recall...surely you can Google that...

Your original hoses are inverted flair. Do you still have them?

Is that a jeep grand cherokee box upgrade? If it is then the lines are already metric.
