Got some work done after the work Saturday yesterday. Got my alternator, starter, and new master switch in and got my alternator and starter mounted, along with fabbing up my battery positive cable that'll be running from the power junction post to the B+ post on the starter. Also ran the cable for my alternator from the trunk to the alternator but waiting for a chance to get Cody's opinion before I cut it and put the terminal on for the routing. Also got my adjustment sleeve and put together my pushrod from the original vac booster to the hydroboost pushrod.

Got some more stuff done today. Got my idler pulley and fourth gen power steering pump mounted that I just got in about 2 hours ago lol but I have all of my accessories on and will most likely torque them down in the next few weeks. Then I will get a belt so I can go ahead and strap the front down haha.

Hey its indebt from thirdgen that recommended the BMR coupon for you. Great build!! Like what you did with valve covers and even truck intake looks better. Some quality parts and looks like a top notch build. Like your brake idea. My factory stuff might be in the way of my Procharger filter. Thought about manual brakes, but thats last resort. Also like your taking the time to hide wiring. Im gonna try and do the same. Anyway keep the progress going!!

I also have a few stock ls parts if you need any. Got a truck water pump that's been tapped for steam line, power steering bracket with reservoir that's been cut to run car intake, some tensioners, valve covers, think that's about it.

Hey man, thanks for the kind words! And I'll let you know if I need anything thanks! Although I do have a question about the BMR K... so it's the LS/stock steering K member and it came with the 2 looooong bolts that go in the middle holes of the K I believe, the next longest bolts and the nuts to go with are for the control arms correct? And then it seems like I have 2 extra nuts and then I have 4 small silver bolts... do you know what the extra nuts and the silver bolts are for by chance?

EDIT: contacted BMR about it this morning and they cleared up the bolt situation.

Any updates? Will you be using the powerbulge hood? Any issues clearing the truck intake?

I will be running the stock powerbulge hood that came on the car and I was able to shut the hood previously so shouldn't have any clearance problems.

About updates: Yes! I actually just got my BMR Tubular K member in the mail today and I was able to take my old one out over the weekend. I also fabbed most of my stainless steel brake lines and got my Wilwood Combo Valve installed. Here's some pics of updates and should get my K member installed this weekend.

Here's the old hunk of steel that I took out and it is super super heavy compared to the tubular.

Engine bay with the old member out. And also a pic of the new tubular K immediately after.

Got my K member in yesterday morning before family came over. I had some more issues with the bolts though so I emailed BMR but they worked to get it test fitted while I make some brake lines to work with the new tubular member.

So got my BMR bolts figured out... Just went to the local hardware store and bought a bolt a few mm shorter and also had a flange so it honestly worked out better... but I got all 6 bolts torqued down and also modified my spindles for use with LS brakes. They actually turned out pretty decent!

Got some more front end junk done today. I got my Pro-Drag QA1 coilovers and Spohn caster-camber/spring plates in the other day and got them put on the car. These things are friggin massive! The instructions were a bit lack luster but I was able to figure it out and put together. Going to modify my spindles to work with these shocks in a couple weeks and hopefully finish up my front suspension when I get my tubular A arms.
Here's a pic of the coilovers

So I painted my spindles after cody ground them down to fit the massive QA1 adjustment abutments at the bottom and drilled/tapped the holes for the BigBrakeUpgrade kit I'll be ordering at the beginning of the year when they come back from their winter break lol I'll try to get pictures of the painted spindles tonight or tomorrow. But here's some pictures of the coilovers and spindles that Cody took the night we ground them down.

So Cody and I actually got a lot of work done and we were both pleasantly surprised lmao we actually got everything done in one day that we wanted to get done during all of winter shutdown.
I got my BMR Tubular A Arms in for Christmas and also I got a B&M line lock kit and we got both of those installed and all of the brake lines finalized.
Here's a picture of the beauty that is our stupid routing of brake lines between the master cylinder, line lock, and combo valve

Here's a picture of the completed front suspension and it looks so purty. I'm so glad I decided to go with this route.

Then we got the motor back in and it was a lot easier with the tubular K compared to the Hawks mount pads. Here's some pics cuz why not and I was in a good mood..and maybe a couple drinks haha

I know that the shipping box for the K member alone said it was 34 lbs, so maybe subtract 1 pound for the box, and I'll have to check the weight of the A Arms shipped weight, and the coilovers for everything in the box was 53 lbs, subtract weight for the massive amount of boxes that came in, probly 51 lbs, tomorrow or in the next day or so I'll check the combined weight of all of the stock garbage and post up how much it weighs. I've been meaning to check that myself actually.

I got some weight measurements today.
Stock K, A, and motor mounts: 83 lbs
Stock shocks, springs, & shock perches: 49 lbs
132 lbs stock

Tubular K & A arms: 57 lbs shipped (already had them installed and didn't wanna take them out just to weigh)
QA1 coilovers, caster/camber plates: 53 shipped (same as above)
110 lbs shipping weight (subtract 14 lbs for boxes (still had all the boxes and all contents and weighed boxes, subtracted from shipped weight))
96 lbs
34 lbs weight savings total. Slightly disappointed because BMR said that full Tubular front should save 100 pounds but it's still worth the money in my opinion. All of the clearance in the engine bay was worth every penny. Along with the weight savings that I did manage.
