Couple wire questions

Default Couple wire questions

I am finishing wiring up my S2000 swap and I just have a few quick questions about a couple of wires that im unsure of.

It is a 2002 Honda S2000 with a 2004 Buick Rainier (DBW) LM4 Engine and T56 Transmission

I am using all F body accessories and intake

I am using the wiring harness from the Rainier and a 2003 Trailblazer ECU with Blue/green plugs and modifying it to work for DBC

The wires I am unsure of what to do with are as follows

CPP Rev Light (grey wire)
TCC Brake (purple wire)
VSS Out (green/white wire)
Off/Crank Voltage (pink)


Also as I understand it the pink wires in the engine harness need switched power - wiring up a new fuse box being easiest.

Hello recline15, I will see if I can help you here.

can not find CPP Rev Light on Trailblazer ECU, or is that coming from the 2002 Honda? I think it is for clutch pedal position shift light. do you have a shift light in the honda cluster?

The TCC Brake is for lock up torque converter disengagement, so you don't need that with a T56.


The VSS out is your Vehicle Speed Sensor, Grn/Wht goes to cluster speedometer, the Yel/Blk goes to ABS system.

Could not find Off/Crank but found crank volt witch is PPL and needs power during cranking only. Is that comming off the trailblazer ECU?

First off - Thanks!

CPP Rev light is coming from the Trailblazer ECU but remember I am using the Rainier harness that i am basically gutting - as far as removing emissions related stuff and DBW stuff


So TCC Brake I will cut and terminate


Power during cranking only - what the hell lol. Can I give it a +12v and call it a day?

Where is this wire at? Is it coming from a PCM connector? If so what pin number? Hot in crank only sounds like a signal wire for the starter relay, if you are not using one, then you can delete it.

It is coming from the PCM connector. I will double check later today the Pin #

I am using a separate starter relay on the honda side of things

If you're using the Honda starter relay, then you most likely won't need the other wire. The starter relays are controlled by the PCM so that they can cut the ability to start the car if VATS is activated (wrong key, etc.) so if you're just using it for some kind of neutral safety/clutch switch, odds are it can be eliminated, but without the pin number I cant say for sure.

Are you sure that is a 2003 trailblazer pcm? I dont think that Trailblazer ever came with a manual transmisson.

What is the servo number of the pcm? Where are you getting your pin out data?

So tcc brake is 33 on the blue connector

Going to trace back Cpp rev later but it's a solid grey wire

Also my ecu serv number is 12576106

since you have a T56 the tcc brake wont be used.

The CPP rev is not need to run the engine.

Since the trailblazer never came with manual transmission I dont see that pin being activated in the software tune. Plus I don't see that pin any where on the mitchell schematics for 2003 Trailblazer or 2004 Buick Rainier.

Can I give off/crank voltage the same power that the rest of the engine harness gets?

Blue 75 for voltage pink wire

Blue 35 for Cpp grey wire

Blue 75 is just another ignition wire, it can be hooked to the other pink wires that are hot in run and start.

I would leave the clutch wire out of the PCM, and just wire a switch directly from the clutch pedal to the wire going to the starter, seems easier that way.
