Lower Radiator hose ?
Hi All
My project is 1949 ****** Delivery Panel that I'm swapping A LQ4 with 4L80E. I have a issue with lower rad hose and could use some well guided advice please. I have a couple of ideas but would lie to some other view points. I'm using the LS3/L99 water pump , I can take more pic if needed.
Thanks Dave
so not a lot of room to work with
could go with a straight neck and mod the rad with a 90 and move it out board
just to show how tight the upper is

Straight neck is $25 from summit. Kinda looks like your best bet... I'm having a hard time seeing how you'll do this without cutting the neck off of the radiator and angling it different.

Yes, I would put a 90 on the outside of the radiator tank. Suspect you might then be able to keep the 45 on the pump. Probably an off-the-shelf hose you could then use.

I would think that would work fine. If need a temp guage sender spot you could put a bung fitting in when you weld aluminum to fill old hole. Oh on the upper if you had truck pump a chevy ssr (05) work more than likely. It worked really great in my skylark.
