You're already ahead of me by having the BCM. I'm still looking for one to go with my set up for simplicity. I also saw the PS pump set up off from S&P. I plan to run the 2014+ corvette water pump to make room for the power steering pump. I believe I can fab a bracket myself and just run an f-body pump.

Sounds cool - I've been doing all The "Jeep" related stuff, but I should be setting the motor/trans back in for good by the end of this week. I'm going with a remote reservoir P/S pump. I'm considering placing it where the original A/C compressor was mounted, there is plenty of room and fits nicely next to the frame. We'll see after I get it in....more to follow.

Here is a couple of pics of a LS3 in a 2008 Jeep JK using a Camaro front drive accessories. Motech in Las Vegas installed the LS3 and 6L80, both the GM and Jeep computer were used. Southern Performance in Atlanta is doing the install on the Magnuson TVS 2300 along with a bunch of suspension mods.

Thanks for the info - to bad the L83 (new LT1family) Direct Injection engine is totally different than the LS3, my life would be much easier!

Well the project is in the home stretch. All the paint, frame, suspension, axles is finished. Working on the interior and wiring! I'm still looking info on making the engine harness stand alone, any help would be great!

I forgot to mention that I'm working on using a electric power steering pump setup rather than trying to mount one to the engine. I'll post my progress.

The larger purple with blue stripe wires are for the coils, and I assume that they need a keyed 12v fused power supply. There are many wires of the same color but different gauge. There is one pur/blue wire that is 12ga so I assume this is the main power feed to the PCM. My pin out does not show this wire, but it does come from the PCM plug. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on things. Curious to know what size tires and what axles you'll be spinning with that? And interested in the electric PS pump. I wasn't aware of pumps that would be large enough to handle large tires that typically accompany these swaps. If you haven't seen it, Pirate has a pretty good (and lengthy....over 5600 posts) on the whole LS conversion:

Cheers.

Small tires here (33"). Decided against the electric power steering pump, from all of my research I've concluded that it would not be reliable or strong enough for the Jeep. I have an AGR P/S pump mounted on the engine, just doing some testing to make sure I can get the belt routed properly (pictures when I'm finished).

I've done many 5.3/LS swaps - the new DI 5.3 presents a new set of issues with different wiring and no power steering pump. I will say that the whole drivetrain package (5.3 w/ 6L80E) is more compact and actually fits in the Jeep better that the previous version.

Any updates on the pump mount? I'm planning out my L83 swap into an '86 Grand Wagoneer, haha. Trying to stay away from the electric power steering as well, would like to run hydroboost.

Great info so far, thank you for posting it!

Nice workmanship! Can you tell me what fuse/relay boxes you used? They look clean and tidy.

Still looking for a solution to the VSS reading 158mph all the time. I sent HP Tuners all of my info to see if they can help, no word back yet. Any suggestions?
