I've got a 5.3 swapped 4wd 99 s10 blazer. My transmission is going out and I've got a cheap source on a 4wd 4l60 from a 05 trailblazer.

If I use the trailblazer converter and swap over the bellhousing, will it work with my setup? I've got an np 233 transfer case.

I've been googling this all day twenty different ways and can't get a firm answer...

What would I need to do to make that trans work?

Not sure if the input shaft and pump are the same size. If they are then you would just need a torque converter and bell housing.

Thanks. I don't know enough about transmissions in general to know for sure... I know they both use 27 spline shafts... But length and diameter at unknown variables

I know years ago that the transmissions that were used in a 6 cylinder application had less clutches than those for the V8. I don't know if that still holds true.

Try asking over in the transmission section,seems to be some knowledgeable guys over there when it comes to 4l60e variations,I think what you want to do will work.
