Default 1972 Nova Turbo LM7 Build

I bought this nova with a 406 SBC and TH 350. While it sounds great, the streetability sucks, and it really isn't that impressive. Rather than chase the problems in a motor someone else built, and that I know very little about, I began gathering parts for the inevitable LS swap. After a tow truck driver destroyed my fender, then AAA denied to cover the damage, I decided it was time to begin the build. Here's a list of what I have and what I plan to use:

Have:
LM7- rebuilding with stock replacement parts, stock bore, Stock Gen1 rods with rod bolts
317 Heads- P&P, milled .030
Brian Tooley Stage 3 turbo cam
Brian Tooley Dual Valve Springs w Ti Retainers
LS1 Intake
Truck TB
Truck Manifold hotside
Turbonetics 76/68 Journal Bearing
LS7 Lifters

Plan on:
Running a flex fuel system with early style sensor
Magnafuel4303
FueLab Regulator
80lb SD Injectors
AutoKraft Pan
1" Set Back Plates
4L80E w/ converter-(PTC, Circle D??)
Eaton truetrac- 3.42 to replace 4.11 mini-spool
Caltracs and split monos (Some Day...)

Ad Photo when I Bought Car. Slicks were screwed to wheels. (not very streetable)

With Black Street Lites and 255/60/15 Et Streets

Thanks AAA Tow truck Driver!!!

Out with the Old.....

Nice looking ride and good luck over your build. Btw if that would've been me someone would've paid for the damage whether cash or a busted ***.

I agree. I would of took pics and contacted his insurance.

I guess knowing this is possible, it would be a good idea to take pics/video BEFORE and AFTER he towed the car. Just in case you get a driver who tries top deny his wrong doings.

I had an issue with a AAA tow back in HS in 1999. It took a lot of bitching but I eventually got them to pay for it.

Thank guys. I went back and forth with them for over a month. AAA basically told me it was between myself and the company after they attempted to mediate a resolution. Before pics from that day definitely would've helped. I believe in bad publicity so I get it out where I can. I wanted to destroy this guys car lot but I'm a single dad and have a career to protect.

As for my build, I will update as it goes. I'm trying to sell my 406/TH350 set-up to help fund some more parts. My heads and cam should be in this week, so the build of the motor will begin. I'm open to advice from the experienced ones here along the way, and hopefully can provide some info as well.

Looks incredible. Did you use a split t4 flange or merge the pipes?
