Default 383 twin turbo build for my 1950 Buick Sedanette

Love my car but not the performance or suspension.

Keeping the look original, but upgrading the drive train.

The engine is now a 383 ci.

Thunder Works Engines decked and O ringed the block, bored & honed the cylinders, align bored the block, assembled the bearings, rods, pistons. Installed a new 4" stroke forged crank, new oil pump and balanced the engine.

Looks like a nice build in the works. I went the LS route in my 1965 Buick Skylark. I love it. I kept the outside and most of the interior stock. On the outside I did go to 17" aluminum wheels which look like the Buick Rally type wheels of the era to keep it sort of stock looking wheel wise.

Roller cam and hydraulic roller lifters.

Check out the aggressive profile of this cam. This was a custom grind built for the components, geometry and application for this engine by master cam builder Mike Jones of Jones Cam Designs

Thanks.

I'm thinking along the same lines as you.

Mike Jones knows his camshafts. I have bought two of them over the years and currently have one in my 1989 Trans Am. That camshaft is bigger than any of those I bought. It will have a lumpy idle for sure.

Picked this LS1 LS6 Holley Weiand Cathedral Port High Flow Intake w/ FAST Billet Rails, 36lb Injectors, & Stock Throttle Body off of Ebay. Needs a little bit of a clean up. Will be replacing the injectors with higher lb ones and selling the 36 lb ones.
