Default BMW E36 TR6060 LS1 shifter help

So I plan on using a TR 6060 in my ls1 swap for my 1996 BMW M3. With the mounts I will be using the t56 shifter lines up very well with the stock shifter hole location. My question is, how are people making the tr6060 shifter work? Is there a shift assembly that is shorter than the factory one? Because the Tr6060 is longer than the t56- see pics for reference

This is the only TR6060 into an E36 I know of.

I am also swapping a tr6060 into my e36, but I am using an LS3. How would I make the tr6060 shifter work with the e36?

Check out Sikky Manufacturing, they make a series of set-back shifters to fit a variety of applications. I just picked one up for my '66 Chevelle project, it is a very nice piece and put the shifter in the perfect location. www.sikky.com.
