Default Borla mufflers,exhaust size

Looking at installing borla pro xs mufflers on a dual 2-1/2" exhaust system dumped at front of rearend. Any body using these and do you think there would be any advantage going dual 3" size. The 2-1/2" would tuck up better in my car but don't want to give up to much HP. This is on LS3 with cam, headers. Any thoughts ? Thanks

Have you looked at / considered borla stingers? They flow much better than the pro xs line.

Looking at all options right now. Really need a low profile oval design with offset in and out, not sure which ones flow well while still reduce noise and drone levels for a street/ autocross vehicle. Open to all suggestions and comments at this point, just trying to get it right the first time.

Get whatever fits your application best and is reasonably quiet. Then add electric cut-out's before the mufflers so you can open them up and have access to all your available power on command.

Another option is a set of single inlet/ double outlet mufflers, with an electric cut-out on one of the two outlets for each muffler. If I remember correctly, it's what the newer 'vettes have, or something very similar.

I know borla xr1 mufflers are small and compact but they aren't very quiet... you could try adding a resonator before the mufflers?
